A Journey Back to Hedonism II in Jamaica

Let’s go back in time—24 years ago, to be exact—when I had my very first adults-only resort experience at the famous Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica. It was a family affair, with my mom, my sister, and an eclectic group of male and female entertainers. We stayed on the “prude” side of the resort, where I was expecting a lively adult experience but, in all honesty, found the vibe to be a bit… well, lackluster. You see the real excitement happened when you got the the main dining room where they'd have a show every night. It was there I became acquainted with the Hedonism II entertainers and learned about what life was like in Jamaica outside of the gloss of my vacation.

Fast forward a few years, and I found myself returning to Hedonism II, only to find that the “prude” side was fully booked. This time, I stayed on the “nude” side of the beach—and who was my roommate? None other than my mom! The nude side turned out to have the better beach, and while I’d occasionally spot someone sans swimsuit, it was surprisingly comfortable and more enjoyable than I’d anticipated. I've been to Hedonism II several times and I've still managed to keep my clothes on. lol

So, would I recommend the “nude” side? Absolutely, for those open to a bit of spontaneity. The vibe is laid-back, and the beach scenery is unbeatable. Just remember that you MUST wear clothes in the dining area. The last thing we need is your dangly bits in the callaloo. This trip is one of my fondest, showing me that sometimes the unexpected experiences are the best!
